zless -圧縮されたテキストを CRT で見るためのファイル閲覧フィルタ書式
zless [ name ... ]説明
zless は、圧縮されたテキストファイルや通常のテキストファイルをソフトコピー端末上で一度に全画面で閲覧するためのフィルタである。このコマンドは、環境変数 LESSOPEN に '|gzip -cdfq -- %s' を、環境変数 LESSMETACHARS に '<space><tab><newline>;*?"()<>[|&^`#\$%=~' を設定して、 less を実行するのと等価である。しかしながら、 zless コマンドを利用できるようにするのはそれだけの価値のあることだと、多くの人が思うことだろう。関連項目
