解説

アプリケーションは、同じ conf_req_flagqop_req パラメータをつけて gss_wrap(3) に提示されるなら、 req_output_size バイトだけを含む出力トークンをもたらす、最大のメッセージサイズを決定できます。

この呼び出しは、最大のメッセージサイズを与えるプロトコル上で通信されるアプリケーションによって使用されることを目的としています。アプリケーションが、プロテクションを適用する前にメッセージを断片化することを可能にします。

GSS-API の実装は、推薦されますが、 gss_wrap_size_limit() が呼び出されるとき、不正な QOP 値を検出する必要はありません。このルーチンは、メッセージのプロテクションのための特定の QOP 値の利用可能性ではなく、最大のメッセージサイズだけを保証します。
